    The Role of Sponsor

    Confirmation

I have attached the 10 questions that should be known by every student receiving the sacrament. Fr. Boyle and Fr. Gregg will be conducting interviews during our preparation classes and will use these questions as conversation starters. Please make sure your child knows and is comfortable with the information.

The Confirmation Service hours log. In case the paper has been misplaced, I have included an additional copy. Also, information about the saint report and the role of the sponsor. The saint report helps us to know that the student to receive the sacrament understands the individual they have chosen to emulate. The selection of a saint's name allows students the opportunity to identify in a special way with so many different holy men and women. We would like to know that they have learned what made that person so special as to be canonized. Many of your children have completed this report already. IF that is the case, I apologize for the repeating of information.

Lastly, the role of the sponsor. This information is helpful if the chosen sponsor is asking why me and what does it mean to be a sponsor. Also, if the chosen sponsor is not a member of Most Holy Trinity Parish, they will need to acquire a sponsor card from their home parish. Most parishes will know exactly what is being asked for, but the purpose is to provide verification that the chosen sponsor is a fully initiated Catholic in good standing. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our offices.

The students will be asked to participate in the 4:00 Mass as the readers, servers, greeters, etc. Please, if your child would like to fill one of these capacities, let us know. Also, we will be providing food at each of these preparation classes as well as the retreat, but donations are never frowned upon! If you would like to offer food or beverage donations, you can also contact our office.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office or email.

    Thank you and God bless,
